"It was an absolute pleasure to have Gavin as our wedding photographer. Right from the start, he listened to exactly what we wanted and offered great advice and suggestions on how to make our day more special. We always felt relaxed and comfortable since Gavin is really personable and easygoing. He offered to do a pre-wedding photoshoot (love story) in the location where we got engaged which was a lovely way to get acquainted and go through some preparation which made the big day all that easier. On the wedding day, he got the balance right between giving directions and blending in to the background so that we could still enjoy being together without the stress of always being told what to do. He worked really hard taking photos all day, always coming up with new photo ideas and catching the special moments. Because of his artistic background he can incorporate natural and special effects into his photos to create wonderful shots. Anyone who is planning a wedding will know how difficult it is to choose between suppliers, but we are so glad that we chose Gavin to do our wedding photography.
His attention to detail and passion for the art shone through from our very first meeting. As soon as we booked him for our wedding date, Gavin took the time to do a reccy at our venue and gather some ideas for the best places to shoot during our ceremony. We were later able to meet and do a "forever shoot" which was such a valuable experience in helping myself and my husband feel more comfortable in front of the camera.
When the big day came, Gavin and his partner's communication with us was excellent, and I felt at ease knowing my wedding day was being captured from all angles. They went above and beyond expectations to get all the shots on my list and then some! The photos that we received shortly after were incredible, with the perfect balance of serious and fun images that tell the story of our day. We have received so many compliments on our wedding album since working with Gavin and we will treasure the photos for the rest of our lives. They really do speak for themselves.
